YEAR 13 VOCATIONAL EXAM SUCCESS – RECORD RESULTS!!!

Year 13 CAMTEC PE, BTEC Applied Science, Health and Social Care and Applied Business students sat their final exams in January as the lockdown was imposed on us. The decision to allow them to sit their final exams at this time reaped rewards when the results were announced at the end of last week.

The results are our best ever with 93% of grades being awarded at Distinction Star/Distinction (A Level equivalent to A*/A). These results mean that they are set to become a record year for Level 3 Vocational subjects if their coursework grades can match this performance.

In PE, 5 out 6 achieved a DDD* exam passes, and the other a DDD. 4 have university offers and another student is going into the forces. Health and Social Care had 15/17 exams graded at D*/D with students going to study nursing and occupational health at university.

Applied Business had an amazing 100% D/D pass rate and Applied Science 95% D/M.

The majority of our Vocational students are planning to take up university places. These courses allow students to join top universities and prepare them fully for employment in Business, Scientific and Health related industries. We are incredibly proud of their achievements in these exams, taken under strict lockdown conditions at a very difficult time. We wait for the exam boards to ratify their coursework grades, but the exam performance of these students gives them a great chance to achieve the highest possible grades.
